New Product and Business Model: Introducing TC32 IoT

To meet diverse market needs and facilitate a more flexible pricing model, EQON is now introducing a clearer product segmentation. The existing product will be named TC32 Industrial, while a new variant is being launched under the name TC32 IoT.

TC32 IoT is developed for commercial buildings, snow and ice melting systems, and other land-based heating systems where EQON's cloud-based control system can be utilized – offering increased insight and control. The solution delivers maximum savings, enhanced security, and full oversight of heating cable systems through EQON's cloud-based platform, and represents a more affordable alternative for non-industrial customers.

– The main difference lies not only in the technology, but also in how the product is made available. TC32 IoT enables a subscription-based model, where customers pay for the service rather than purchasing the unit itself. This lowers the barrier to entry for using the solution and provides better predictability over time, says CEO Mikal Løvik.

TC32 Industrial will continue to be the solution for customers seeking a more robust solution with integrations to top-level systems (SCADA) and a traditional delivery model. The product is particularly well-suited for demanding industrial environments.
